Coeur d'Alene board walk

This was taken last summer while I was traveling with my group. We were in Coeur d'Alene ID and walking around finding all the Mudgy and Millie statutes in the park. This was a grab shot and had to hurry to catch up with the others. I liked the repeating roof points to the end of the dock.

This was an experiment with my globe, water glasses and the funky wrapping paper.

Kootenai Falls

Kootenai Falls is located along Highway 2 west of Kalispell, MT. Beautiful glacier blue water and too big to capture in one photo.

Broken Cars and Trucks

First step in recycling damaged vehicles. Cars are stack 7 high and will be crushed and transported to  own of 3 or 4 locations in America and melted down-- extensive process - and then flattened for the steel to be re-used.

This is another view of the stacked vehicles.  Was not able to go any further in to get better photos since the owner said that we shouldn't be inside the fence. Then he gave us a total overview of what happens to the metal. Nice man at Ace Salvage.

Tetons again

Tetons again. These barns are located on the same road as the famous Mormon Row barns. Photo was taken at sunset.

Spring and back to winter

With my shortened camping trip to Guernsey State Park., I chose to came back to Cheyenne because we had a big storm coming in. We got over 14 inches of snow on May 18 and 19. These are photos from the park and had to watch for overhead branches that were damaged from the snow.

At least one side is colorful for the firemen to find it.

The Castle

This is the Castle and is located at Guernsey State Park, WY. It was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, (CCC) and is a picnic shelter with beautiful views over the lake. The construction is awesome.

Teton Barn

This is that famous, most photographed barn on Mormon Row. I have been there several times and usually photograph it at sunrise. This was at sunset and I was totally disgusted with the forest service while I was there since they were doing a controlled burn. You can see the smoke against the Tetons. It is not mist or fog that we sometimes see.

The Eagle Has Landed

This was taken this April in the city park 2 blocks from my house. Eagles pass through town on their way to a better location. They like to sit in the trees above the walking path and look out over the lake for their next meal.

Mesa Arch

This is from a location that has tripod divots from all the photographers that have been there.  The trick is to be there before sunrise to catch the sun on the rock. This iconic place is in Canyonlands close to Moab, and Utah is such a beautiful state that I have been there several times.

Eagle is back

How nice to go to the park and find an eagle hanging out near the lake.

Ugg, Spring?

Just had to verify what I expected at 8 thousand feet this early into Spring. Yip, no leaves yet! It is so early that the Forrest service has all the gates locked across the roads into Vedauwoo still. It is frustrating but some macho individuals won't stay off a muddy wet road and they destroy it. This road was partially open and then I had to walk about a mile in.

This is what I call winter ugly...Now this would be beautiful with fresh layer of snow, or frost on the trees. Still waiting for the leaves to pop out.

Other side of the fence

The other day I saw View Bug photos based on a fence theme. I have decided to see what I can find this year. This one was taken after a rain and the sun came out with the reflection in a puddle.
