Really old bones

Okay here are some really bad pictures of the dinosaurs at the Univ of Laramie Geology Museum. Its free and I was impressed as to the number of specimens that they have. On the above photo the white streak is the tail of the Apatosaurus and was discovered in 1909 north of Laramie. This guy was up to 80 feet long and weighed up to 30 tons. A lot of the skeleton is complete but the small one under the tail is a Apatosaurus reproduction. It was found in northern WY but the original is located elsewhere.

I put my hand in the photo to show the size of this huge foot print. Am glad I did not have to encounter the live maker of it.

This was so big that I couldn't get it all in and head is not in the photo. Choice tail or head. Impossible to get it from the floor and went upstairs to get a better view-- Still didn't get it. I only had the small point and shoot with me. Sorry for the bad photos, but if you are in Laramie, check out the museum.
