Mineral bike, walking and skiing trail in Leadville

Mike and I rode a little over 3 miles on the trail. We had to transport our bikes to one of the starting points and along the way were some old buildings. The one above was a trading post/store.

This looked like a jail but the sign was faded.

Looking the other way is the mountains. Riding at 10 thousand feet is hard with the hills (I am still having trouble with hills) and Mikes electric bike tires were low on air so we didn't get far.

The highest 14er mountain CO is in this area and it is the 2nd highest in the U.S the tallest is in California.

Second post today to catch up. We are still in the Crested Butte area with no internet where we are parked. Views. are awesome though.
